Hero’s Hour – Review

Hero’s Hour is an Hommage to Heroes of Might and Magic but as an Auto-Battler 😉 I played HOMM3 for hours with a friend and it was great! So with Hero’s Hour you choose a faction, build up your city, recruit units and go conquer the world with your heroes. Battles will happen automatically. You can still order a bit and cast magic. Just played a small test to check it out, now I already have 3 runs done. It is that good!

To do that, you will need to build a deck with a maximum of six cards, and you have the freedom to get creative with your build. You have to defeat every elite opponent that stands in your way so that you can reach the city’s guard captain and deal with the Enders. During your journey, you might come across different scenarios and encounters that can help you, but at a cost.

Slay The Spire is a super fun game, that does an amazing job at putting together card games with roguelike elements. And yes, nowadays roguelike has become an extremely popular genre and Slay The Spire was able to do put together something great. You get to build your deck, and you get to expand it while climbing the tower, so while doing that you will come across amazing cards that will combo with what you already have, making it even easier for you to defeat your enemies. There are hundreds of cards for you to use, and each time you venture into the spire, the layouts will be different, and you can always choose to take the safe path, or the riskier one.

Ring of Pain – Review

Ring of Pain is a dungeon crawler with some roguelike elements, where you get to explore dungeons that are all generated randomly. You can choose how to take on these fights, you can face your enemies head-on, try to be sneaky, or focus on scavenging. It is also important to choose every step carefully, as one wrong choice can put you in a complicated spot. In this game, creatures you come across will show what actions they are going to take, so will you choose to fight, or run away? It is up to you to decide how to take each dungeon.

Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin is an amazing sequel to the first game, and this one focuses on enhancing some old mechanics, while also introducing new and exciting ones. Monster Hunter Stories 2 feels like a Monster Hunter game mixed with Pokemon. You get to walk around in this open world, collecting different types of monsters, while also using them to help you fight them. To beat these monsters, you will need to choose between three different types of attacks, and each one of them has an advantage against the other. So if you’re a fan of the Monster Hunter series, and you’re a bit tired of Pokemon, you should give Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin a try.
