π₯π Loop Hero – How to Defeat the Main Bosses

General Tips
Most of the time you won’t be powerful enough to beat a boss on your first meeting. But we can increase the chance to do so ;-). First lets talk about upgrading the village. There are some buildings you should prioritize:
- Smithy – The Smithy helps your run go smoother, because it gives you your starter equipment. But more Important you are now able to get the Smelter
- Smelter – The base HP +30 is nice, but more Important we unlock the “Arsenal” Golden Card, which gives us an additional Equipment Slot. This is Huge and makes the Rogue viable.
- Gymnasium – The Gym unlock the Trait System. For each Level you gain, you can pick a Trait. Those will improve your Run immensely.
- Cemetery – Grants you a Second Life on your Journey
- Supply Depot and Intel Center – Both add Utility and finally we can use those Golden Cards
- Watchtower, Forest, River – These are the next Unlocks you want.
Another good tip is to turn on “Automatically pause at the end of the loop” in the options. This allows you to run even before a boss fight. That makes farming materials so much easier.
Also please set the game speed to maximum. There is no point in going slow π
In Regard to Boss Traits. There are not many that are useful. So while still going through the game and not farming, I recommend disabling them. For a Farming Run, sure get Deep Pockets and Awakened Fragment.
As a general tip on when to kill the bosses, here is my current checklist:
- Do we have Equipment roughly 2-3 Levels higher than the current loop?
- Do I have good traits?
Also if you go for Forests / Thickets and/or Desert / Sand Dunes, then make sure to only play the bigger ones. No need to spawn the bosses early.
Best Builds
Warrior
- Deck: Village, Wheat Fields, Battle Field, Spider Cocoon, Vampire Mansion, River, Meadow, Oblivion, Arsenal
- Tile Combos: River + Meadow, Village + Vampire Mansion (If too dangerous, upgrade watchtowers first or go without)
- Supply: Sturdy Stool, Count’s Chair, Blacksmith’s Hammer, Kitchen Knife, Mixed Nuts, Garlic, Cheese, Old Painting, Silverware
- Traits: Article of Protection, Dominant Mass, Shield Master, Skilled Armorer
- Stats: Prioritize the Highest total Damage including AoE and equip a good chunk of Vampirism
Additional Info: If you play Forests/Thicket make sure to remove the “Village?” Tiles asap! Those are really dangerous for us.
Rogue
- Deck: Cemetery, Grove, Battle Field, Spider Cocoon, Vampire Mansion, River, Forest/Thicket, Desert/Sand Dunes, Oblivion, Arsenal
- Tile Combos: River + Thicket, River + Sand Dunes
- Supply: Count’s Chair, Blacksmith’s Hammer, Garlic, Cheese, Old Painting, Silverware
- Traits: Child of the Forest, Fuss, Marauder, Master of Fencing, Old Scars, Picky, Smoke Screen
- Stats: AoE over all :-D, Magic Shield (if there is a big jump, then this is more Important than like +2 AoE)
Additional Info: “Village?” are dangerous again and Ziggurats are spawning Sand Spirits. Sand Spirits will deal 200% damage to our Magic Shield. Magic Shield is our Lifeline, so make sure to remove these too.
Necromancer
- Deck: Cemetery, Swamp, Battle Field, Vampire Mansion, River, Forest/Thicket, Oblivion, Ancestral Crypt
- Tile Combos: Swamp + Vampire Mansion, River + Thicket
- Supply: Sturdy Stool, Antique Shelf, Blacksmith’s Hammer, Kitchen Knife, Old Painting
- Traits: Unseen Care, Laying down one’s life, Field Practice
- Stats: Magic Shield, Attack Speed (until about 100%), Summon Quality, Summon Level, Maximum Number of Skeletons
Additional Info: Our Main Mechanics to not die is using the traits Unseen Care, Laying down one’s life and Field Practice. Unseen Care and Laying down one’s life is for Defence and Field Practice a support to scale offense. Additionally the Ancestral Crypt will allow us to scale in HP. I also recommend going for at least 3 Skeletons. Going over 4 is not really necessary most of the time. We just have to make sure than we can summon faster, than the enemy can attack.
Note: I’m still have to test if going River + Sand Dunes is viable here. Will update later.
Main Bosses
Lich

A powerful dead mage. The cosmic maelstroms fill his being with the cold light of the faraway stars. The palace with which he travels serves to further empower the already fearsome sorcerer wherever he goes.

The Lich is the Boss we are going to fight. He is going to go Solo on us. He has a good chunk of Damage Output, but is still manageable. On Spawn he is spawning some Lich Palaces in a 2 tile radius around the camp too. So make sure to block them with your own tiles.
Priestess
Guided by her faith, she is ready and willing to punish heretics and apostates of all kinds. Her icy stare and fiery speeches will pierce anyone’s heart. And if then don’t – then the piercing will be done by the swords of angels she summons. She protects herself with immaculate windows of colorful stained glass that distracts the eye and mesmerizes the mind.

The Priestess is a nasty Boss. She is going to summon some Angels and Mirrors. AoE Damage can overcome the Mirrors quite easily and always damage the Priestess. Removing Attack Speed with the River + Sand Dunes Combo is amazing here too. No Attack Speed = No Summons = Dead Priestess π
Hunter
The Hunter prowls the cosmos, looking for his prey. His sharp sight allows him to see and track anything immeasurably far, enough to extinguish a star or two with a single sharp shot. His loyal hounds are always there to eradicate the planets that are not worth the gunpowder. Only something truly extraordinary would force the hunter to fight in close quarters – something that would interfere with his usual target-practice style of hunt.

Nothing new to tell you here. If you can beat the Priestess everything else applies to the Hunter too. If still hard, just grind a little bit more before spawning him. The Warrior will get more Defence, the Rogue better Equipment and the Necromancer more Shield and HP.
Omega

At the point of writing I haven’t beating Omega yet. So this part has to wait π
