👷 What Difficulty should you play? – Tainted Grail: Conquest
Today we’re gonna talk about all the difficulties in Tainted Grail, I will talk about a little about the differences of each difficulty, and which one you should choose depending on what it is you’re looking to do. There are some difficulties that are better for players who are looking to farm, and I will share them with you.
In Tainted Grail, difficulty levels don’t only make the enemies stronger, but it also gives you better rewards.
- In general you get plus 10% Wealth and Wyrdstones for each difficulty-1. That means on difficulty 3 you get 130% Wealth and Wyrdstones.
- From difficulty 1 until 8 the enemies will additionally get new moves, new compositions and fight are in general harder.
- From difficulty 7 to 10, enemies will get buffs. For each difficulty here they get +5% damage, +5% healing, +5 armor and +5% health. On difficulty 10 that would amount to +20% damage, healing, armor and health
- Until difficulty 14 they get +10% damage, healing and health and +5 armor
- Starting with difficulty 15 enemies get +20% damage and +10% health. No additional armor now. So the max armor will be +50 through difficulties.
Now there are also some better difficulties for players who are wanting to farm. It is great for you to find a difficulty level where you are comfortable with being able to end quickly, and you also need to be confident in how good you are in the class you choose.
As an example, if you’re able to beat difficulty 5 in about 50 minutes, you will receive 140% more wealth, wyrdstones gain, and final score multiplier. Now let’s say that you are able to end your run in difficulty 18 about 1 hour and 40 minutes. You will almost get double the reward, but you will go through a harder run when in that time you could simply beat difficulty 5 two times and end up with the exact same reward.
Example Difficulty 5
- 1000 wealth * 140% => 1400 wealth
- 1400 wealth / 1h => 23.33 wealth per minute
Example Difficulty 15
- 1000 wealth * 240% => 2400 wealth
- 2400 wealth / 2h => 20 wealth per minute
So if you’re objective is to go farm as quickly as possible, it might be worthy to do easier difficulties more times, than spending more time on harder difficulties. This is all valid for the other currencies like Wyrdstones, Runestone Dust, Blood, Tallow, Card Shreds, and Golden Tokens too.

Best Classes to farm with / Tier List
These are some of the best classes for you to play, and to be able to finish your run. Some of them will depend on luck, while others will be good no matter what.
Best
If you’re looking for a safe run, your best choice is to go with either Sentinel or Wyrdhunter. A Stun Wyrdhunter is a good Option. These two classes don’t rely too much on runes and passives, so if you have an ok deck, you will do just fine.
Good
Berserker and Apostate can be good with the right Runestones and passives. If you’re not able on getting them, even your worst build with the Sentinel and Wyrdhunter would be better.
Bad
Summoner, Necromancer, and Blood Mage are not good choices, since you need to get strong as soon as possible, and that depends entirely on how lucky you get.
Worst
Now the worst classes you could choose are Zealot and Pathfinder. They take too long to scale, and overall it isn’t worth spending your time on making them stronger.
