Creeper World 3 – Review

What is Creeper World 3 about?

After waking up from one of the longest sleep of his life, our protagonist, Skargsgard Abraix finds himself inside a ship and was awakened by a mysterious voice that calls itself Lia. The voice fills you in on what happened, and that you’ve been asleep for many eons, around five billion years.

You know have Lia and the ship at your disposal, and you must discover what happened during all the years that have passed, and why you were asleep for so long.  But first, you must explore a nearby planet, and acquire a technological pod.

The Gameplay is filled with RTS and tower-defense elements, and we will need to be able to come up with good strategies to be able to enjoy the game to its fullest!

How to play Creeper World 3?

We begin the game by playing the main story mode Arc Mode, as every other mode is still locked, and Arc Mode also serves as a tutorial for newcomers. Right at the start, we get a brief explanation about the game’s main story, and that humans have explored and created a galactic empire, but all of that was destroyed by a mysterious enemy called Creeper. They were responsible for destroying thousands of worlds, but humans were capable of stoping it. But that peace did not last long, as these Creepers would return over the years.

Among the humans, one of them slept through all of this, and he is the main protagonist of the story. His name is Skargsgard Abraix, and after a sleep that lasted billions of years, he is awakened and must find out why he was chosen to be put to sleep.

We are then instructed by Lia, a voice that is a part of the ship we are in, and tell us that we must descend into a planet to be able to upgrade our ship. As soon as we reach the planet, we land and see a pod that contains the part we’re looking for. But of course, things are not always that easy, as there is a creeper emitter in the way. Lia then tells us that we first need to gather energy from the planet and to do that we must build collectors. After creating enough collectors, we now have enough power to also create some weapons so that we can the pod.

After creating more than enough canons to handle the emitter, we can collect the pod, and all that is left for us to do is destroy the creeper emitter for good. And to do that we must create a nullifier, and we do just that. After waiting for it to charge up, the creeper emitter is gone, and we are done with the planet.

After finishing the first planet, we receive not only the pod, but also some achievements, and we also get to see an online scoreboard that shows how quickly other people finished the level. And by some miracle, the fastest score show that someone completed this planet in six seconds! That seems a little fishy, and while our ten-minute time doesn’t even come close to it, we still submit it.

We then proceed to another planet, after being able to lower its shields. The shields might have been used as a last resort defense against the creepers, but sadly, we can see it did not work. After landing our ship, we can locate the warp inhibitor that has been stopping us from leaving the area. But once again, the way to our goal is being blocked by creepers.

We are then introduced to a new tech that we can build called relays, that can be used to create long-distance connections, but unlike the collectors, they do not produce energy. We then begin building collectors and make use of the relay to distribute the power. We then focus on building some firepower, and start building some cannons to start dealing with the creepers, and to be able to approach the emitter to destroy it! After creating enough canons, and positioning them strategically we finally get close enough to the emitter and destroy it!

Our next step is now to destroy the warp inhibitor, which is also being protected by some creepers. But we now just need to move our canons, destroy all the creepers around it, build a nullifier near it, and we’re done. And we do exactly that! And with that, we are done with the second planet, and ready to continue our journey.

My Conclusion

Creeper World 3 seems to be the type of game that I enjoy playing, and it is filled with strategy elements, and I can’t wait to play more of it with you guys. The Gameplay is really interesting, and I cannot wait to get to the more challenging stages. There are so many things that we can unlock!
